Ken Deanmead, May 13, 2009: “Twitter has of late been inundated by, shall we say, “normals.” What was once our little playground has become rather more populated. But that doesn’t make it any less effective a tool for communication. It just means we have to stick together, and keep the geek community thriving. To this end, GeekDad has assembled the following: a list of 100 awesomely geeky-geeks. These are great, creative gamers and chiptune artists, astronomers and LEGO builders. <…>

I just discovered that i was a featured member on RezEd. So I wondered if I should change my photo from my M&M dude to my SL avatar. Which do you think carry more social presence via a pic?

Just saw the blog’s post: RC8 was released yesterday (23rd). I downloaded it and the lipsync works!!! This is so exciting.
RC7 was having too many issues so they withdrew it a few hours after the release. I am just amazed at the quick turnaround. This is so cool.
So while waiting for the main client to get the lipsync, go get it yourself at http://secondlife.com/support/downloads.php#download-Testviewers (as of today 5/24/08, it’s RC8: http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/05/23/new-release-candidate-viewer-120-rc8-available/)
I”ll post a machinima soon to celebrate this glorious day

After over a hundred books and novels on sci.fi., Sir Arthur C. Clarke dies at 90 years old at his home in Columbo, Shi Lanka. A big loss for more than the scifi world. Beautiful and fruitful life of a great visionary. May your hair be discovered on the other side of the galaxy…
